Must Haves:

Communication skills, Any MSL exp (GE, Siemons, Philips)

Plus:

Radiology exp.

Description Purpose:

  • Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Radiology is responsible for providing scientific and objective medical information to healthcare providers and researchers in therapeutic areas of interest to Our Client Radiology.
  • The MSL s responsible for developing and executing clinical/medical education strategies and providing training via in person, virtual and hybrid environments.
  • MSL serves as medical and scientific support in the field for healthcare providers ensuring safe and effective use of Our Client products including timely adverse event reporting and responses to unsolicited requests for detailed product, and disease state information.
  • The MSL also develops a complete understanding of national and regional experts/thought leaders in specific therapeutic categories and the healthcare environment in which they work.
  • MSL assists customers with best practices and a deep understanding of Radiology workflow.
  • The MSL will collaborate with internal business partners as an expert consultant to meet specific scientific needs of internal and external contacts within specific therapeutic and geographic areas.
  • The MSL will represent the company at scientific conferences, symposiums, and medical meetings.
  • This is a remote role that will require up to 50% travel within the assigned territory with minimal overnight travel.


Education Requirements:

  • PharmD, MD, Ph.D, MBBS, or equivalent.


Key Tasks:


1. Maintenance of scientific expertise
* Complete core training curriculum and basic MSL Certification
* Full participation in therapeutic area updates and/or training initiatives e.g., journal clubs
* Medical conference attendance and reviews
* Routine self-paced reading of current publications
* Professional licensure with CEU documentation where applicable
* Completes recertification and advanced certification were applicable.

2. Direct scientific exchange:
* Presentations to external audiences
* Timely, accurate, specific and balanced responses to professional requests for information (PIR) in collaboration with Medical Communications
* Adherence to SOP and FDA guidance for distribution of scientific information
* Adherence to SOP and compliance guidelines for all external contacts
* Prepares and presents data to internal audiences including MA and Commercial partners.
* Provides inputs for developing materials for internal and external use.

3. TL engagement - Criteria based selection and validation to identify and confirm Thought Leaders (TL) status.
* Routine contacts with TLs
* Research site identification and investigator-initiated research (IIR) support
* Speaker training and evaluation
* Advisory board coordination, workshop leadership and/or presentation at advisory board
* Coordinates National/International TLs engagement with senior management and other key internal partners.

4. Identify customer Medical/Clinical needs & challenges within the suite. Clinically and medically differentiate the features and value of Our Client products/ solutions and services across Radiology product portfolio.
5. Assist customer on basic protocol adaptation and answer to any focused/ alternative protocols inquiries for the best outcome for patients.
6. Ensure a good alignment and collaboration between internal Our Client stakeholders including R&D, clinical and commercial teams.
7. Drive high customer satisfaction and experience.
8. Regularly report relevant competitive activity
9. Identify account / hospital influence level for input into commercial segmentation.
10. Drive scientific discussions on patient needs and data gaps, e.g., IIRs

Key Working Relationships:


* The MSL primarily interacts with healthcare providers, researchers, radiographers, and academic experts in the field. This is a unique position within the organization as these highly trained, field-based individuals with cutting edge training represent Our Client to its external customers via routine contacts and responses to requests for additional scientific information.

* Marketing
