SRG, the leader in the Life Sciences human capital industry, is looking for a full-time, contract Facilities Lab Technician to join our client's pharmaceutical manufacturing team in New Haven, CT. This key role will perform light building, and equipment, maintenance, liaise with employees and vendors, prepare for on- and off-site events, support environmental, health, safety, shipping, receiving, and waste management efforts, among other varied tasks. The Facilities Lab Technician will be a Backup to the Facilities Manager.

* 3+ month contract, possible FTE conversion, eligible for overtime hours/pay

MUST HAVES:

  • 5 years as a laboratory technician within a GLP/GMP environment (pharmaceutical manufacturing)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • High level of computer skills
  • Work order management systems
  • Equipment monitoring
  • Asset management systems
  • Data entry
  • Maintenance and repair of building and lab based equipment
  • Conducts and/or assists in troubleshooting, repairs (corrective maintenance) and preventative maintenance of process equipment, building support systems, utility systems, automation systems, and laboratory system
  • Complete costumer work requests as assigned
  • May assist in designing and drafting facility-related SOPs. Takes prompt action to correct conditions found to be out of compliance or unsafe.
  • General laboratory maintenance
  • Monitor and change out high pressure lab gases
  • Monitoring equipment
  • Laboratory stock room management
  • Organizing laboratory stock room
