Process Chemist required on a permanent basis, based in Staffordshire. Requiring a degree in Chemistry, and proven industrial experience of process support/process modification and/or process troubleshooting.

SRG are currently working with a market leading manufacturer of a fine and speciality chemicals. They are now seeking to hire a Process Chemist to join their technical team based in Staffordshire to support the manufacturing and technical teams with production processes. This role include improving process efficiency, support in process development and supporting in scale-up activity, and will suit candidates that have similar experiences.

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, death in service, pension scheme plus optional benefits such as healthcare, cycle to work scheme. Working hours: 8:45am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday.

Role/Description

• Propose modifications to existing processes in order to improve efficiencies,
• Troubleshoot processes and identify root causes from incomplete information,
• Propose, design and introduce to the plant new processes utilising best practice, new equipment and technology,
• Propose and justify process change via understanding of relevant cost benefit analysis.
• Consider and address the safety implications of introducing new processes (COSHH) assessments, HAZOP studies) or implementing changes to existing processes

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
• Proven industrial experience of process chemistry, including process support, process modification and/or process modification
• Excellent team work and communication skills
