Rate: £16.80/hour. 36 hours/week

SRG are working with a global chemical manufacturer who are looking for a Vendor Scheduler to join their team on an initial 6 month contract, with the potential for longer term work.

The Scheduler will prepare an achievable vendor schedule for a portfolio of allocated purchased raw materials and packaging with a focus on cost, flexible responsiveness, safety stocks and inventory in order to support production schedule and to propose and implement site planning initiatives to ensure supply objectives are met.

Duties:

  • Produce and maintain an accurate supply schedule for agreed raw materials and components to support production plans.
  • Identify future supply constraints before they become current problems.
  • Place orders/releases/goods issues with suppliers against the requirements.
  • Obtain delivery commitment from suppliers
  • Strive to reduce lead times at the benefit of the supply chain.
  • Optimise stock levels to achieve targets set by the Supply Chain
  • Monitor slow, non-moving & blocked stock, taking action were required.
  • Participates and provides input to multifunctional teams (i.e. new product launches) and monitors stock/supply in case of phase-outs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a Supply Chain / Manufacturing Environment
  • SAP experience is desirable (Experience with other planning software will be considered)
  • Strong attention to detail and admin skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to prioritise workloads
  • Good knowledge of process-interfaces with purchasing, plants, asset planners and suppliers
