SRG are working with a global leader in the chemicals industry to help them find an Process Chemist for a 12 month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a renowned name and contribute to key projects and gain experience with a leading name in the chemicals industry.

You would be part of a small group of Chemists working on assigned projects, carrying out synthesis and development work.

The Role:

• Plan and carry out chemical development work on new and existing processes in the laboratory to meet targets
• Analytical testing as required
• Advise manufacturing personnel and carry out laboratory work to assist in the resolution of manufacturing process problems
• Determine the best method, in consultation with Senior or Principal Process Chemist, and prepare representative samples of new products or the product from process modifications.
• Communicate with other technical functions; analytical, process engineers, formulation, manufacturing and SHE functions to exchange information and results to assist in progressing development work
• Write up and share results across all levels of the organisation

Requirements:

• A degree in chemistry with one a minimum of one years laboratory experience or a PhD
• Knowledge/experience of synthetic and/or process chemistry
• Ability to work in multi-functional teams with strong communication skills
• Ideally experience in qualitative and quantitative HPLC and GC would be beneficial but not essential
