About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Senior Industrial Maintenance Lead who knows CNC machinery inside and out, ideally Haas and/or Mazak, and who enjoys passing that knowledge on. You'll be the go-to person when critical equipment goes down on our foundry manufacturing floor, and you'll step in quickly to get production moving again.
This is also a teaching role. Each time you work on a CNC machine, you'll bring a junior technician with you and train them hands-on. We're looking for someone who can do the repair themselves and explain it clearly and patiently to the next generation of technicians.
What You'll Do
- Perform urgent corrective maintenance on CNC machines, especially Haas mills and lathes
- Diagnose and repair gearboxes, AC/DC motors, servo systems, VFDs, sensors, limit switches, and control components
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including actuators, valves, and pumps
- Repair, calibrate, and maintain ovens, heating units, and temperature-controlled equipment
- Use precision hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication
- Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Carry out equipment changeovers, part replacements, alignment, testing, and verification
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures using meters, calibration kits, and diagnostic tools
- Document all work in our CMMS following GDP/GMP standards
- Support equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Follow all safety, FDA, OSHA, and company policies
- Coach and train junior technicians through hands-on, on-the-job instruction
What You'll Bring
Required
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior or Lead Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair Haas and Mazak CNC machines
- Advanced mechanical aptitude with motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and drive systems
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and valves
- Experience with sensors, calibration, instrumentation, and PLC-adjacent troubleshooting
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, welding, and fabrication
- Experience working with ovens, heating systems, and controlled-environment equipment
- Working knowledge of GMP practices
- Proven leadership experience, including hands-on training of junior technicians
- The patience and communication skills to teach others
