About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager, IT Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures (Finance Technology) to serve as the primary IT partner supporting Finance through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.

This highly visible individual contributor role will lead technology planning and execution activities that enable Finance integration and separation objectives from transaction signing through close. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in program management, finance systems, and M&A transaction support, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

Transaction Program Leadership

  • Lead Finance-related technology workstreams supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions
  • Drive planning and execution from due diligence through transaction close
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Coordinate activities across IT, Finance, and business teams to ensure alignment with transaction timelines
  • Facilitate executive governance meetings and provide concise status updates to leadership

Sign-to-Close Execution

  • Manage all Finance technology activities required between signing and transaction close
  • Ensure readiness of financial systems, data, reporting structures, controls, security, and interfaces
  • Support cutover planning and transaction readiness assessments
  • Identify and resolve risks, dependencies, and critical decision points that could impact transaction timelines

Finance Systems & Process Coordination

  • Act as a key liaison between Finance stakeholders and technology teams
  • Support impacts andintegrations across:
    • ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials, etc.)
    • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
    • General Ledger
    • Fixed Assets
    • Procurement
    • Treasury
    • Tax
    • Financial Reporting
    • Consolidation & Planning Systems
  • Assist with financial data alignment, organizational structures, chart of accounts, and reporting requirements

Transition Services & Separation Planning

  • Support Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) and separation planning activities
  • Develop transition execution plans, milestones, risks, and exit criteria
  • Track Day 1, Day 30, Day 90, and TSA exit objectives
  • Partner with technical and business teams to ensure successful post-close execution

Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain risk and issue management processes
  • Escalate critical schedule, compliance, security, and operational risks
  • Support audit, internal controls, and compliance requirements
  • Develop transaction playbooks, templates, governance processes, and lessons-learned documentation

Required Qualifications

✅ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field

✅ 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

  • Program Management
  • Project Management
  • Finance Technology
  • ERP Implementations
  • M&A Integration or Divestiture Activities

✅ Experience supporting:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Divestitures
  • Carve-Outs
  • Large-Scale Business Transformations

✅ Strong understanding of:

  • Financial systems and finance processes
  • Technology-driven finance operations
  • Cross-functional program delivery

✅ Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and manage complex initiatives in fast-paced environments

✅ Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Workday, Oracle EPM, Ariba, Esker, or similar enterprise finance platforms
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or equivalent project/program management certification
  • Experience with Transition Service Agreement (TSA) planning and execution
  • Knowledge of SOX controls, audit processes, and financial compliance requirements
  • Experience working within multinational or highly regulated organizations
