Principal Vision Systems Engineer

Overview

We're looking for a Principal Vision Systems Engineer to help set up and get new automated inspection equipment running in a regulated manufacturing plant. This person will be the go-to expert for vision systems - tuning cameras, building inspection recipes, and solving tough vision problems. They'll also guide other teams and make key technical calls.

You should have hands-on experience with Körber Sightline/Sightinator vision inspection systems and camera tuning software, plus a strong track record leading technical work at a senior level.

Location: Troy, NY, onsite full time

Contract: Long term, 12+ months, W2 or 1099

What You'll Do

• Build and fine-tune inspection recipes for automated vision systems, mainly Körber platforms
• Tune cameras and set up inspection equipment
• Act as the main point person for vision system questions and decisions
• Troubleshoot tricky inspection and tuning problems on your own
• Help review validation documents and support the floor team (you won't run validation yourself)

What You Need

• Solid, hands-on experience with Körber Sightline/Sightinator systems
• Experience with SVIM or similar camera tuning software (strongly preferred)
• Background working with automated visual inspection in a regulated environment (like pharma or medical device manufacturing)
• Ability to solve complex vision system issues without much help
• Senior/principal-level experience leading technical projects
