Location: New Haven, CT (Hybrid) or Remote (U.S.)

Position Summary

The Associate Specialist, Compound Management supports compound registration, inventory management, order fulfillment, and workflow administration across research and development functions. Working closely with scientists and key stakeholders, this role helps ensure timely compound delivery, accurate data management, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support compound acquisition, registration, inventory tracking, and lifecycle management.
  • Process and manage compound requests for internal and external customers.
  • Maintain and update compound databases and workflow systems.
  • Track orders and ensure timely fulfillment of compound requests.
  • Collaborate with chemists, scientists, and cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics, reports, and dashboards.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives involving new processes, systems, and applications.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry experience.
  • Experience with compound registration, inventory management, or sample management preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D processes strongly preferred.
  • Experience with scientific databases, data entry, queries, and record management.
  • Ability to review compound structures and identify data inconsistencies is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.
  • Experience with KNIME or workflow automation tools is a plus.

Education
