Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring product quality and compliance in a highly regulated industry, with strong potential for long-term growth, extension, and conversion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and routine part inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Verify that materials, equipment, processes, and finished products meet quality standards and specifications
  • Develop, validate, and improve inspection and test methods; contribute to SOPs and inspection protocols
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on product quality metrics to support data-driven decisions
  • Support compliance with industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and regulatory requirements through audits and gap analysis
  • Assist in implementing process controls, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve product and production issues through root cause analysis
  • Issue non-conformance reports and support MRB disposition and corrective action processes
  • Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards across operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations teams to meet production goals
  • Work independently and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience performing dimensional and visual inspections in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Extensive knowledge of GD&T principles
  • Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI), test method validation, and inspection method development
  • Proficiency with AQL sampling techniques
  • Experience in root cause analysis, data analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Background in aerospace, medical device, or defense manufacturing required
  • Hands-on experience with advanced inspection equipment such as CMMs, PCMMs, vision systems, profilometers, and 3D scanning technologies (e.g., Zeiss, Faro, Keyence)
  • Ability to troubleshoot inspection equipment issues
  • Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment

Additional Details

  • Multiple shift options available (weekday and weekend; day and night schedules)
  • Must be able to complete initial training on first shift
  • Strong potential for extension and long-term conversion
