📍 Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site)
💰 Pay Rate: $70-80/hour
📅 Contract Length: 12+ Months with Extensions

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise ServiceNow solutions that support critical business and IT initiatives. This role will serve as a strategic technical leader, partnering with Enterprise Architecture, development teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality ServiceNow solutions aligned with long-term technology objectives.

What You'll Do

• Design and architect ServiceNow solutions aligned with business requirements and enterprise technology strategies.
• Evaluate emerging ServiceNow capabilities and develop roadmaps that maximize platform value and business outcomes.
• Define and maintain architecture standards, policies, and best practices across multiple initiatives.
• Lead solution design efforts for complex ServiceNow implementations, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture and technical leadership teams to ensure strategic alignment.
• Provide technical guidance on solution options, risks, and architectural impacts to stakeholders at all levels.
• Drive continuous improvement across implementation methodologies, technical capabilities, and service offerings.
• Mentor developers, administrators, and technical team members on ServiceNow best practices and solution design.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project delivery, ensuring quality and successful outcomes.
• Stay current with ServiceNow releases, innovations, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Architect or senior ServiceNow technical lead.
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and enterprise business workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
• Experience developing or architecting cloud-based solutions, particularly within AWS and/or Azure environments.

Technical Skills & Experience

✅ Extensive experience leading ServiceNow solution architecture across one or more of the following areas:

• ITSM (IT Service Management)
• HRSD (Human Resources Service Delivery)
• ITOM (IT Operations Management)
• ITAM (IT Asset Management)
• ServiceNow Integrations

✅ Strong experience with:

• ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, AngularJS, etc.)
• Web technologies including XML, HTML, JavaScript, and Web Services
• Cloud architecture and development (AWS preferred)
• LDAP, SSL, VPN, and related enterprise technologies
• ITIL frameworks and service management methodologies

✅ Demonstrated ability to:

• Influence technical and business stakeholders through architectural decision-making
• Present solution options, risks, and recommendations effectively
• Mentor development teams and drive technical excellence
• Deliver complex enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITOM, CSM)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Understanding of cybersecurity programs and best practices
• Experience supporting Government Community Cloud (GCC) environments
