SRG is looking for a Biomarker Technical Expert (BTE) to support our pharmaceutical client. This person will support our clients Translational Science Lead (TSL) in executing biomarker strategies across oncology clinical trials (Phases I-III). This role focuses on operational execution, ensuring timely, high-quality biomarker data delivery across multiple studies. THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION (EST hours)!

Contract hours: 32 hours/week

Job description / summary

  • Partner with TSL, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics/Bioinformatics, and Data Management to execute translational science strategies
  • Act as the primary point of contact for biomarker operations across internal teams, CROs, and external partners
  • Lead biomarker-related activities including study startup, sample logistics, lab/vendor management (incl. CDx partners), and data delivery
  • Oversee biomarker data processes: collection, transfer, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting
  • Manage lab vendors (contracts, timelines, QC, data delivery)
  • Coordinate sample logistics (site training, lab manuals, sample management plans, tracking, reconciliation)
  • Support data processing, dataset integration, and generation of tables/figures

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years in pharma/biotech
  • Experience with clinical samples (processing and/or analysis)
  • Proven project leadership in cross-functional, global teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
