Quality Control Analyst/Microbiology
Job Title: Quality Assurance Microbiology Consultant
Overview:
Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Microbiology Consultant responsible for routine microbiological testing (raw materials, in-process, water, and finished products), documentation, and GMP/USP compliance. This role supports investigations, troubleshooting, environmental monitoring, and validation of equipment and processes.
Contract position: 1 year plus
Location: Onsite Myerstown, PA
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in non-compliance investigations
- Assist with troubleshooting analytical methods and instrumentation
- Assist in validation of manufacturing and production lines and microbiology-related equipment (e.g., equipment and room cleaning validation)
- Prepare microbiological testing of media and diluents
- Perform microbiological environmental monitoring in production areas and the microbiology laboratory
- Review data and graphs for accuracy and trends
- Manage samples, including reconciliation, acquisition, labeling, delivery, documentation, relocation, and disposal
- QC Analyst experience
- At least 1 year of laboratory experience
- Experience in microbiology processes or assignment within a microbiology area
- Knowledge, application, and understanding of microbiology principles
- Good documentation practices
- Computer proficiency
- Working knowledge of:
- Aseptic techniques
- Environmental monitoring methods
- Gram staining
- Microbiological test methods
Competencies:
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work within established policies and procedures
- Effective written and interpretive communication skills
- Organization and planning skills
- General knowledge of stability programs
