Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist - Raw Materials - REMOTE!
Supply Chain and Logistics / Materials Management - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
12 month contract - REMOTE
We're looking for a hands‑on Supply Chain or Materials professional to support raw material logistics, inventory control, and warehouse operations within a regulated pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment. The right candidate will be a logistics and supply chain SME able to represent internal interests during design and construction-partnering with engineering, design firms, and stakeholders to ensure optimal logistics flow and system integration. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are available, traceable, and properly managed to support uninterrupted production for a new warehouse build.

- Highly automated warehouses
- Cold chain logistics
- Classified dispense environments (Class C / D - if pharma)
Required Skills:
- 15+ years in warehouse design / logistics engineering
- Supply chain + logistics integration
- CAPEX or Greenfield / site expansion projects
- ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems)
- AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles)
- Automated material movement systems
- Cross-functional coordination (engineering, supply chain, operations)
- Working within complex stakeholder environments
- Ownership mentality and self-direction
- Ability to influence decision-making across competing priorities
- Pharma experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support raw material logistics across manufacturing and warehouse operations
- Oversee inventory control, tracking, and material flow to meet production demands
- Support cold chain operations, including large‑scale freezer and ultra‑low temperature (ULT) storage
- Work with automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and automated material handling systems
- Utilize automated racking and high‑rack storage systems (AHRS) to improve efficiency and traceability
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams
- Ensure logistics and inventory activities comply with GMP, GDP, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
- Support deviations, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with system upgrades, expansions, and automation optimization projects
