SRG is seeking a highly detail-oriented professional to support the receipt, tracking, and preparation of equipment for installation at a new manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all incoming equipment is accurately documented, traceable, and organized to support efficient installation and startup.

The ideal candidate brings a strong attention to detail, experience working with technical equipment or components, and the ability to interpret complex serial markings and documentation without heavy engineering support.


Key Responsibilities

Equipment Receiving & Verification

  • Receive incoming equipment and verify contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
  • Inspect shipments for damage, discrepancies, or missing components
  • Accurately document and report any issues

Serial Number Capture & Traceability

  • Precisely read and record complex, small-format serial numbers and identification markings
  • Ensure all equipment is properly logged and traceable within internal systems
  • Cross-reference serial data with documentation to ensure accuracy

Equipment Staging & Installation Readiness

  • Organize and stage equipment based on installation sequencing and project timelines
  • Ensure all components required for installation are grouped and identified
  • Maintain clean, structured, and clearly labeled staging areas

Technical Interpretation & Data Accuracy

  • Interpret equipment identifiers, tags, and markings that may require spatial or geometric understanding
  • Work independently to resolve discrepancies in documentation or labeling
  • Minimize reliance on engineering support through strong problem-solving and attention to detail

Documentation & Coordination

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, inventory, and traceability data
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and installation teams to ensure readiness
  • Support audits and reconciliation efforts as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in manufacturing, equipment handling, inspection, or technical inventory environments
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle high-accuracy data entry and tracking
  • Ability to read and interpret complex serial numbers, labels, or technical identifiers
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory or tracking systems)

Preferred

  • Background in:
    • Metrology / dimensional inspection (CMM, calipers, prints)
    • Manufacturing or production environments
    • Equipment installation or commissioning support
  • Experience with ERP or asset tracking systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
