Associate Scientist - Ex Vivo Tissue Biology

We're looking for a hands‑on Associate Scientist to join a collaborative research team supporting ex vivo, tissue‑based biology efforts. This is a bench‑focused, execution‑driven role ideal for someone who enjoys generating high‑quality data and contributing to team capacity rather than owning individual discovery programs.

This role will focus on working with animal tissue samples and applying molecular techniques to extract meaningful biological insights in a fast‑paced industry setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ex vivo tissue processing using animal samples
  • Extract RNA and protein from animal tissues and generate high‑quality datasets
  • Execute downstream molecular assays including RT‑qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and flow cytometry
  • Accurately document experimental data and maintain reproducible lab practices
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional scientists to support ongoing research efforts
  • Contribute to steady experimental throughput and team productivity

Must‑Have Qualifications

  • M.S. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of industry experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience with ex vivo animal tissue processing
  • Experience with RNA extraction and protein isolation from animal tissues
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality, reproducible results
  • Comfortable in a mid‑level bench role focused on execution rather than project ownership

Nice to Have

  • Experience with triglyceride quantification in ex vivo tissues
  • Hands‑on in vivo rodent dosing experience (SC, IP, IV)
  • Experience with terminal tissue collection from animal studies
  • Background in metabolic or neurological research
  • Familiarity with oligo therapeutics and PK/PD concepts
