Our pharmaceutical manufacturing client is looking for a Construction Manager to lead capital investment initiatives and master plan projects across factory operations. You'll provide technical direction and subject matter expertise in project management, project execution, and facility operational readiness. Your leadership will drive successful project delivery, and asset reliability while aligning with plant performance goals. You will be accountable for the construction scope of approximately $75- $100MM.

*15 month contract on site in Wilson, NC

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the project construction delivery team consisting of support resources, Construction Management company and Construction Safety.
  • Manage the assigned project scope to deliver a safe, functional, high quality scope of construction through direct daily oversight and management of the Construction Management firm.
  • Coordinate with on site project team including engineering design, system owners, Project Engineering Services to deliver project construction goals.
  • Manage daily activities and address daily field progress and field issues.
  • Manage and resolve project change notices that arise during construction.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones through proactive engagement with field resources, collaborative tools, and on site systems and tools.
  • Ensure a high performing and safe construction project in accordance to Safety expectations.
  • Own the coordination and execution of all necessary construction scope that requires coordination with existing facility operations. Coordinate for clean construction protocols.
  • Review monthly cost report from CM.
  • Review monthly payment invoice request from CM.
  • Work closely with Project controls to address change requests, invoice reviews, and monthly status reports.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience including 5+ years in capital project management.
  • Deep understanding of Pharmaceutical Construction methodologies
  • Extensive experience managing the construction and installation of Oral Solid Dosage equipment and facilities
  • Experience with OSD packaging facility and packaging line installation.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing engineering within factory operations, maintenance, or capital projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to lead cross-functional coordination.
  • Proficiency in PM tools including scheduling, and internet collaboration websites.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or healthcare manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of hygiene design, cleanroom electrical standards, and validation practices.
  • Understanding of project execution lifecycle and ability to drive results across diverse teams.
