About the Role
We are seeking a motivated engineer who uses math and science to solve technical challenges in a dynamic manufacturing and product development environment. This role involves designing innovative solutions, improving existing products, and developing new machines to enhance organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex tests on equipment, prototypes, processes, and products, requiring knowledge of instrumentation and electrical test systems.
- Develop and execute test protocols, perform computations, analyze data using spreadsheets, and present findings.
- Create test procedures that can be qualified and utilized by other team members.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop Design of Experiments (DOEs).
- Evaluate designs and recommend improvements based on test results.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks in compliance with company standards.
- Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures during testing and lab activities.
- Conduct testing involving animal tissue samples (e.g., beef steak, calves liver, pork bone, pig cranium).
- Simulate surgical practices using ultrasonic aspirators and monopolar coagulation systems.
- Clean lab equipment and prototypes using disinfectants and autoclave systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in product development, testing, or related engineering roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work hands-on in a lab environment and follow strict safety protocols.
- Familiarity with test methods, instrumentation, and data analysis tools.
