Procurement Manager - Global R&D Sourcing Strategy

Location: Waltham, MA (Remote with preference for local candidates to come on site occasionally)

Are you ready to lead strategic sourcing initiatives that shape the future of pharmaceutical R&D? We're looking for a Procurement Manager who thrives in a global, fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving value through innovation and collaboration.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Global Sourcing Strategies: Own the creation, execution, and management of comprehensive procurement plans for R&D categories.
  • Partner with Stakeholders: Build strong relationships across the organization to understand needs, educate teams on sourcing best practices, and deliver measurable results.
  • Drive Strategic Initiatives: Develop category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance while optimizing performance.
  • Deliver Impact: Achieve savings, improve cash flow, and champion supplier diversity through data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Legal, Finance, and cross-functional teams to align procurement systems and processes with corporate objectives.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business.
  • Experience: 5-8 years in procurement/sourcing, ideally within pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Skills:
    • Proven RFx experience in a global, cross-functional environment.
    • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
    • Expertise in strategic sourcing best practices and ERP systems (Oracle/SAP).
  • Bonus Points: CPM certification or involvement in professional purchasing organizations.
