Packaging Contractor (Part-Time, 20 hrs/week) - Remote with Some Travel
Are you ready to make an impact in clinical supply chain operations? We're looking for a Packaging Contractor to join our team and ensure the seamless packaging, labeling, and distribution of clinical trial materials. This is a remote role with occasional travel, perfect for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead packaging and release of clinical supplies at external CDMOs, ensuring timelines are met.
- Review and approve packaging documentation: specifications, master batch records, and vendor materials.
- Coordinate label text approvals and maintain communication between Technical and Clinical Operations.
- Represent clinical supplies in internal and external operational meetings.
- Oversee shipments and vendor scheduling to ensure timely delivery to depots.
- Manage batch genealogy for full traceability of clinical lots.
- Calculate unit costs and ensure compliance with customs and cross-border requirements.
- Develop packaging plans and manage contracts, RFPs, RFQs, and POs.
- Act as the packaging SME for regulatory submissions (INDs/IMPDs).
- Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Ops, Finance, and Purchasing teams.
- Utilize software tools to track and execute key project activities.
What We're Looking For
- Education: BS/MS in a scientific discipline.
- Experience: 7-10 years in pharma packaging, labeling, and drug product development.
- Must-Haves:
- Packaging/labeling documentation review experience.
- Clinical supply management expertise.
- External vendor management (client-facing).
- Nice-to-Haves:
- MS in Engineering/Pharmacy or MBA.
- Hands-on packaging/labeling experience.
- Contract negotiation and RFP writing skills.
