CMM Inspector - Third Shift (1 Opening)
Our client is an evolving manufacturing company seeking a skilled CMM Inspector with hands-on experience using Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines to join their growing team. This role is critical to ensuring the dimensional accuracy and quality of precision-manufactured components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, GD&T, and experience working in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Location: Devens, MA
Shift: Third Shift (currently 10:00pm-7:00am;or 11pm-8am hours may change as the shift is established)
Contract: 6 months (possibility of extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Work Arrangement: Onsite, 5 days a week
Candidate Type: Green Card and US Citizen ONLY

Qualifications & Skills:
3+ years of experience operating Zeiss CMMs in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Calypso software is required
Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and dimensional inspection techniques
Experience with other metrology tools (e.g., micrometers, height gauges, surface plates)
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
Must be able to work third shift
Green Card and US Citizen ONLY
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace, medical device, or precision manufacturing industries
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems
Knowledge of SPC and data analysis tools
GMP experience
Responsibilities:
Operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software to inspect complex precision components
Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to develop and execute inspection plans
Perform first article inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections
Analyze and report measurement data, identifying trends and potential quality issues
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve non-conformances
Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Document inspection results and maintain traceability in accordance with quality standards
