SRG, the leader in the Life Sciences human capital industry, is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Indianapolis, IN.

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Onsite Hybrid - 3 days per week

Contract: 1 year plus extension

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10+ years experience in pharma electrical systems and instrumentation (control valves, schematics, loop diagrams, etc )
  • Experience with pre-construction management
  • Experience reviewing and checking engineering deliverables at a detailed level
  • Understanding procurement and commercial strategies
  • Strong understanding of GMP, cleanroom requirements, and regulated environments.
  • Experience with PLC systems, SCADA, BMS, and automation integration a plus
  • Familiarity with electrical codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA) and instrumentation standards (e.g., ISA).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of electrical and instrumentation systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing and utility equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and industry standards for cleanroom and controlled environments.
  • Develop and review electrical schematics, loop diagrams, control panel layouts, and instrumentation specifications.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, automation, validation, and operations to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Support commissioning and qualification of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Manage contractors and vendors during installation, testing, and startup phases.
  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP reviews, and design qualification activities.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure traceability for audits and inspections.
