SRG, the leader in the Life Sciences human capital industry, is looking for an entry level Microbiologist to join our client's gene therapy manufacturing team in Chesterfield, MO. Support research and development initiatives by performing microbial analysis and contribute to method development, execute laboratory assays, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high-quality data generation and reporting.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Experience with microbial culturing, aseptic techniques, and microbial quantification methods.
• 1-3 Years of Experience in the lab working with GMP manufacturing preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct microbiological analyses on a variety of microbial species to support internal research studies.
• Develop and refine protocols for Colony Forming Unit (CFU) quantitation and other microbiological techniques.
• Perform viability and stability assays following established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Process diverse sample types for microbial recovery and cultivation across multiple media types.
• Prepare, analyze, and communicate experimental data and findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in general lab upkeep, including supply inventory, equipment calibration, and cleanliness.
