IVD Quality Laboratory Supervisor - Medical Device Manufacturing
SRG, the leader in the Life Sciences human capital industry, is looking for an IVD Quality Laboratory Supervisor to join our client's medical device manufacturing team in Hayward, Ca. This position is quality focused (not R&D) in the lab and will be focused on quality system activities. You will be reporting to the Director of Assay Development and background experience may include Associate/Quality Engineer or Senior Research Associate with supervisor/management experience.
*Unique opportunity to get in and hit the ground running with new and upcoming small medical device company and be able to grow and make an impact with the team! Contract position minimum of 6 months and likely to go longer.
*W2 contract only, we cannot accept C2C at this time
*M-F 9am-5pm onsite
Must Haves:
- Mid-career professional with supervisory experience (3-5 years minimum)
- Experience with IVDs and quality systems
- Comfortable documenting processes and raising flags when things aren't clear
- Self-starter
- Experience with V&V in IVD settings
- Experience mentoring/managing a team
- BSL2 lab experience preferred
- Manual Pipetting Experience
- GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
- Has good laboratory practices with manual processes (not automated), wet lab experience is a must (ideally microbiology)
- Willing to do hands on work
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing lab techs/operators
- Pipetting into buffers, putting them into the cartridge and getting it into the device
- Can work well in a small team; collaborative and a clear communicator
- Verification and validation in the lab
