Manufacturing Engineer
Location - (100% On site) Boston, MA
Length of Assignment 6 months
Responsibilities:
• Writes and implements Manufacturing Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Leads and/or supports DCRs; CAPAs, and NCs related to Manufacturing Process.
• Gap analysis between manufacturing procedures and process (FDA regulations).
• Creates, updates, and maintains pFMEAs, Control Plans, DMRs.
• Creates and updates material specifications for manufacturing materials.
• Generation and implementation of change controls and engineering notices (ECO).
• Creates and updates Engineering SOP’s and Engineering drawings.
• Drives improvement in process, or equipment to reduce NC’s, scrap, improve yields, optimize efficiency, and establish process controls to maintain performance.
• Represents the Manufacturing Engineering group on strategic projects in Manufacturing and Sourcing.
• Supports the implementation and validation of new or modified manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure process controls are in place for manufacturing.
• Specifies, develops, purchases, and maintains manufacturing equipment, automation, tooling, and fixtures.
Education/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 3-6 years of engineering experience is required.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment is preferred.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of medical device is required. Class 3 Medical Device Experience preferred.
• Six Sigma Statistical Process Analysis knowledge is required with certification preferred.
• Strong communication, team building, and cross-functional coordination skills are required.
• Position is located in Boston, MA
• Onsite preferred
