We are searching for a permanent full-time Site Head of Engineering who is ready to be part of a rare opportunity to build from the ground up and create plasma therapies that help the people who truly depend on them. The successful candidate will be an integral contributor to the greenfield build of a state-of-the-art plasma fractionation facility by overseeing onsite day-to-day project management and execution of engineering and construction. They will have a clearly demonstrated record of building teams, achieving budgets, reducing costs, expanding capabilities, and continuous improvement through driving KPIs and transformational change management.

** Previous experience in Plasma, Biologics and/or Pharma is mandatory **

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate with architecture, engineering and construction project managers to ensure the project is completed within the approved budget and timelines
• Facilitate decision making and prioritization between internal stakeholders regarding conceptual design approach, design decisions, vendor selection, build strategy, commissioning, and qualification strategy
• Run competitive RFP processes for the selection of external contractors and vendors
• Ensure facilities infrastructure and services facilitate and support the full range of business operations whilst ensuring enterprise needs are aligned and balance
• Function as the point-of-contact for all engineering services during site construction and beyond, including management of all construction teams, vendors, external stakeholders, etc.
• Establish and manage project schedule and provide weekly and monthly updates
• Implement project controls to ensure adherence to the approved capital budget
• Monitor and manage approved contracts to ensure all parties deliver and meet their obligations in a timely manner
• Maintain accountability for the management and delivery of services and infrastructure across site operations ensuring that these services support and facilitate all business operations.
• Leadership of the site facility maintenance, production & facility engineering, security, janitorial, contract services, and CapEx portfolio
• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
• Develop and maintain documentation throughout the project life cycle (including but not limited to Project Charter, PEP, Risk Register)

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent experience
• 15 - 20 years’ experience in overseeing and managing multidisciplinary projects in a GMP environment
• Must have experience in greenfield and brownfield sites
• 5 – 10 years’ experience leading Capital Projects in excess of $50M
• Experience implementing Project Management, Project Controls and Project Risk Evaluation tools on multidisciplinary capital projects
• Proven track record in delivery of large value, complex and multi-disciplinary, CGMP (FDA and Health Canada approved) and infrastructure projects
• Experience as part of a multidisciplinary team of consultants, scientists, operators and engineers in the design, construction, commissioning, qualification and operational start-up of a multi-million dollar plasma fractionation facility is ideal
