Job Title: Global Transparency Head (Integrity & Compliance Team)

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid Model: onsite three days per week)

The permanent full-time Global Transparency Head is responsible for keeping abreast of the evolving global transparency landscape, including both legislative and voluntary commitments, interpreting the various disclosure requirements, and developing appropriate strategies to address on a global scale.

The Global Transparency Head will lead the planning and execution of Healthcare Professional (HCP) payment transparency activities and initiatives, overseeing a coordinated global effort to implement, operationalize and continually improve transparency initiatives in an innovative, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

The Transparency Head will also be accountable for ensuring the overall direction and execution of the U.S. healthcare compliance state transparency laws and global effort to ensure the accurate and timely publication of Transparency information. They are also responsible for payment disclosure initiatives globally, including initiatives in the U.S., various European countries, Australia, and Canada.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Formulate strategic goals by applying a deep understanding of expanding global transparency regulations, business priorities, and regional needs.
  • Lead and manage a global Transfer of Value (TOV) team, and actively support the development of direct reports providing insights, direction, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Influence global Transparency practices through interactions with professional organizations and/or Regulatory bodies.
  • Manage interactions with HCP's and healthcare organizations regarding payment disclosure information
  • Serve as owner of Transparency processes, proactively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the operational execution of organization's disclosure activities, including Transparency in Grants, payments to Healthcare Professionals in compliance with the U.S. Physician Payments Sunshine Act and the European EFPIA Disclosure Code, and State Reporting commitments
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance transparency processes and identify and mitigate any potential compliance risks.
  • Lead initiative leveraging Transparency data to provide effective and meaningful analysis to help drive the business by gaining insight into benchmarks, peer HCP engagement, and other best practices.
  • Drive system development and enhancement discussions to set the direction for internal systems that impact publicly disclosed HCP payment information.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MS, MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 8 plus years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in accounting, compliance, finance, and/or management information systems
  • Strong understanding of global payment transparency regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret Healthcare Law, and an ability to align complex internal policies, training, and external communications
