
Job Title: L&D Lead: Clinical and Medical Excellence
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid Model)
We are searching a permanent full-time Learning & Development (L&D) Clinical and Medical Excellence Lead to establish, implement, coordinate, manage, and deliver a comprehensive training strategy for Research and Development (R&D), Global Medical Affairs and Safety (GMAS) organizations.
The successful candidate will lead the development of tailored, customized comprehensive training to drive quality, efficiency to support the organization’s quality and compliance maturity journey. The candidate will also ensure content, creation, and delivery of learning solutions that meet the needs of the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (Integrity and Compliance, Global Medicine Development, Medical Affairs, Clinical and Medical excellence leads) to determine learning gaps, needs and priorities and optimal training strategy
- Develop best practices solutions to provide the best end-user learning and development experiences
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training curricula and effective onboarding strategies for all roles in R&D and GMAS organizations
- Develop/lead the development of training materials ensuring all aspects of job responsibilities and expectations are met to improve efficiency, effectiveness and compliance and address gaps appropriately (role based/tailored training with real life examples, knowledge checks, knowledge road maps, etc.)
- Support lessons learned sharing, on time remediation training/letters, educational forum
- Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, create, develop, and measure end-user learning and development experiences and training effectiveness to refine/re-assess existing programs and materials
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in a Medical and/or Scientific Discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience as a Learning & Development expert in the pharmaceutical industry, delivering and/or managing training programs including curriculum development, training design and evaluation
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance
- Experience with web-based and online learning, eLearning platforms and delivery in a forward thinking rapidly expanding environment.
- Deep knowledge of education and professional training trends.
- Clear and balanced vision of how technology can be used to support learning, and demonstrated experience building online courses and trainings
- Extensive expertise working with a variety of LMS, and extensive knowledge of best practices in technology applications in teaching and learning, trends
- Strong familiarity and experience with both physical (classroom) and virtual (online) learning environments
