Global Materials Planning Specialist
The Role:
Reporting to the Manager of Material Planning, the (Contract) Material Planning Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives in the raw material supply chain group. This role will be responsible for analysis and cross functional support throughout the business. This role will help implement supply chain best practice through data driven decision making and be a key contributor to the MRP process structure for the global material planning team.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

Support analysis for cross functional requests to provide insight on areas including: raw material budget, freight, forecast vs historic demand, purchasing metrics, SAP data queries. Working with key stakeholders in supply chain planning, finance, procurement, logistics, digital, QA, master data

Oversee MRP best practice and using SAP to plan all raw material requirements by defining appropriate MRP parameters

Problem solving MRP and purchasing issues with MRP planners and determining root cause corrections in MRP signals

Key team member to facilitate raw material projects and NPI, ensuring all demand changes are captured appropriately and material is introduced with one valid purchasing plan

Able to provide guidance to supply chain best practice in multi-site/CMO planning environment. Ensuring tactical raw material readiness for new projects as part of master project plan

Review updates to master production forecasts to assess raw material and budget impacts

Help build and report on material planning KPIs

Support any initiative to start conversations with suppliers regarding improvement in their processes

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

BS/BA in Supply Chain, Science, Engineering or Economics/Finance with at least 4-5 years’ experience in warehouse coordination preferred

Experience working with cGMP material suppliers is preferred

2 years’ experience with SAP MPS and MRP

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across boundaries (functional and cultural) and form effective working relationships with colleagues.

Demonstrated ability to work and adapt to change in a fast pace environment.

Customer and business focused – determined to deliver successful outcomes in a cost-effective way.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

Well organized – a natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate, and conduct your work

Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively collaborate and communicate with senior CMC Management in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment – you are outgoing, communicative, and seek to build relationships on a daily basis

A curious mindset that allows you to constantly learn and challenge the status quo
