The Role:
The Sr. Manager, Medical Information will support the development, implementation, and execution of Medical Information content and services at Moderna, initially with the launch of a novel coronavirus vaccine. The successful candidate will be responsible for the support of Medical Information activities including participation in cross-functional planning and implementation of Medical Information deliverables, development of medical content to be used externally with healthcare professionals and consumers, as well as internal department guidance and management documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, IRMS reports and tracking spreadsheets. S/He has a collaborative mindset and partners with stakeholders and cross-functional partners to successfully help develop and monitor the Moderna Medical Information strategy and objectives. This position will focus on temperature excursion responses and Medical Information for U.S. and international markets.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Development of responses for temperature excursion inquiries and Medical Information escalations
Maintain and update Medical Information for Consumer/HCP Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and Standard Response Documents
Create, edit and maintain content including but not limited to FAQs, SRLs, SOPs, Work, Instructions, Tracking Spreadsheets and other documents as assigned.
Take ownership of content creation, modification, and input of approved content into designated medical information system(s)
Create, coordinate, and maintain document review and approval process for content and documentation requiring the team input
Develop, modify and maintain templates (template repository) for frequently drafted content
Create consistent document structure, styles (or style guide) and processes as necessary to improve efficiency
Help ensure consistency in language, voice, style, and branding between related documents
Assist in the analysis, synthesis and presentation of complex information for presentations as necessary
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Scientific degree (BS, BSN, MS, PharmD) with at least 2 years of biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry; medical information/medical communication experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry a plus
Prior industry experience in post-marketing setting; vaccine/infectious disease therapeutic area experience and knowledge strongly preferred
Strong understanding of and adherence to regulatory policies governing scientific interactions with HCPs and consumers
Ability to synthesize scientific information for healthcare providers and consumers
Independently motivated, detail oriented and strong problem-solving ability
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Perform literature-based research to support writing activities as necessary
Review all source documents and develop a thorough understanding of project background, timelines, and goals as applicable
Create strategic foundation and baseline project goals for both immediate and long-term content and document repository objectives, as defined by Management, Med Info team, and other stakeholders
Provide project status updates at an agreed upon frequency
