Senior Director, Supply Chain - Bloomsbury, NJ

Position Overview:
This position will work closely with the clients executive team and functional leaders in developing strategies and processes, as well as oversee the implementation and management of the approved and agreed upon strategies and processes to ensure reliable, compliant, cost effective and on-time supply of products to meet business requirements. The position will have responsibility for the Supply Chain to ensure an uninterrupted supply of high quality materials, the production planning of finished products aligned with the clients manufacturing strategy and network capacity and resource projections to ensure adequate lead-time to secure labor, equipment, materials and space based on growth, market conditions and regulatory requirements to satisfy customer commitments.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support the executive team in developing strategic and operating plans to ensure that the company has the appropriate resources to support current forecasted business and projected growth
  • Manage supply chain desktop models to determine appropriate levels of materials and production required to ensure uninterrupted supply of the high-quality materials required for the production of the clients preparations including demand planning, production planning, material planning, purchasing, capacity planning, space planning, etc.
  • Oversee and successfully implement the use of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advance Planning System, and Master Scheduling modules within Infor
  • Optimize the clients supply chain by coordinating sales demand, manufacturing, transportation and warehouse resources to ensure production has all required stock when and where required, production has published weekly schedules at least 72 hours in advance and rolling 3-month production plan presented minimally one per month
  • Provides weekly supply highlights to Sales Marketing, Customer Service, Quality and the manufacturing sites to facilitate alignment of priorities, minimize obsolescence, communication both positive and negative impacts to service levels, recommend actions to minimize supply constraints
  • Responsible for interdepartmental communications to ensure coordination to ensure alignment of supply in support of new customer on-boarding, introduction of changes and/or new finished products based on Marketing launch plans, inventory management opportunities and order fulfillment capabilities
  • Create, implement and measure, report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and trend supply chain performance from suppliers through to customer fill rates (e.g. Order fill rates and ratios, Forecast Accuracy, Effectiveness of Inventory and Capacity Utilization, On-time performance, etc)
  • Establish and maintain corporate policies and procedures related to supply chain matters developing user requirements that are the foundation for necessary tools and exception-based reporting to facilitate standardization, responsiveness, governance and flawless execution of the approved policies and procedures
  • Develop planning values, maintain supply chain master data such as supply lead times and manufacturing cycle times, and use the clients integrated quality management system to support revisions, additions and deletions of cGMP specific information
  • Manage material and product transfers between facilities, project requirements associated with DEA quota as well as constrained supply from approved suppliers recommending initiative and actions such as alternative materials to drive reliability of supply and/or cost saving
  • Lead cross-functional business teams to successfully accomplish goals and objectives, while continuously improving supply chain performance
  • Implement consistent processes, standardize supplier and materials where appropriate, optimize capacity and equipment utilization across the manufacturing network that ensure agreed upon customer demand is delivered right first time, every time
  • Stay abreast of and communicate pricing and supply forces in the marketplace, evaluate impact on short-term and long-term planning, notify and escalate using fact-and risk-based assessments
  • Provide leadership, direction and feedback to the supply chain team collectively and individually through use of effective management and development techniques
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field required;
  • SCM professional certification is preferred
  • 15+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, with 10+ years in related managerial/leadership role and
  • supervisory experience; operations experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business and collaborative relationships, internally and
  • externally
  • Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast paced, changing environment
