Quality Control Research Associate III
Execute testing of raw materials using wet chemistry, biochemical, microbiological, and molecular biology methods. Techniques include but are not limited to the following: The associate will perform a range of raw material testing methods which include:
FTIR, Appearance, HPLC by Reversed Phase and Size Exclusion, SDS-PAGE with Western and Coomassie stain, pH/Osmolarity/Density/particle counting using HIAC, Elisa (Sandwich), Endotoxin
Protein concentration and absorbance assays, Bench chemistry ID assays such as phosphate.
Troubleshoot instrumentation/test methods. Lead/coordinate QC continuous improvement projects with limited direction. Participates in training of QC team members and implementing training improvements as appropriate. Supports LIR/DEV/CAPA/OOS investigations. Supports change control as appropriate. As needed supports method development and validation of analytical methods and instrumentation. Writes and revises methods, specifications, and SOPs as needed.
Minimum of 1-2 years experience following GMP/GDP procedures in a QC Lab is a must. Appearance testing experience required.
This position is on-site at the Santa Monica facility.
