Site Engineering Lead

Manage the engineering and maintenance operations for the Lincoln facility to ensure business
processes are in place to facilitate the best operational capability and compliance by developing risk
mitigation, continuity planning, site master planning and supporting functional plans.
Serve as a member of the site leadership team, working actively on strategy deployment to
support GSK objectives for the Lincoln site.
? Leadership and capability with focus on performance and capability, values decision making
and talent development.
? Ensure that site safety is championed as part of the leadership team by setting high standards
for safety, confronting risks, ensuring that all staff proactively engages in safety conversation
and ensuring facility is maintained to the highest standard with safety work orders getting
priority focus based on criticality.
? Responsible for site sustainability program with focus on CO2, water and waste reduction
while ensuring the site complies with GSK and regulatory guidelines and limits and that all
staff is encouraged to support environmental sustainability.
? Ensure that the site adheres to global engineering standards (process safety, LOTO, Machine
guarding, electrical, etc.) and processes are in place to ensure standards are in use. TP13
targets set and achieved. Factory mutual high protected status in place.
? Ensure targeted maintenance of operations equipment, utilities, buildings and grounds,
ensuring reliability and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure metrics to best in class
maintenance, execution of maintenance diagnostics and execution of plans. Ensure all
processes and equipment is calibrated and controlled. All work orders and PM routines are in
place and on-time. Spare parts strategy is established, meeting working capital targets and

? Responsible for performance management process within engineering and supporting value
streams, with clear deliverables around safety, quality, operational uptime (OEE) and people.
? Ensure equipment, processes and facility and regulatory compliance objectives (e.g., FDA,
cGMP, OSHA, EPA, DEPE). Ensure resources are aligned to respond quickly and capably to
deviations. Ensure problem solving is carried out when approaching resolution of deviations
from norm.
? Ensure facility master plan is in place with regular reviews from supply chain and site
leadership team.
? Establish standards for how site is maintained, equipment used and site finishes.
? Champion and implement GPS, lean manufacturing and six sigma initiatives to improve our
? Actively review soft services/hard services to support GSK objectives for core activities and
ensure that strategy is in place based on approved business STP’s. Ensuring that where
services are contracted, GSK control is maintained in terms of compliance and performance.

Bachelor’s degree - Chemical or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with strong
financial skills
10+ years experience in project, process, validation, reliability
engineering and plant maintenance
