QC Microbiology Manager - Competitive Salary - Innovative cell therapy company based in Glasgow.

You will be responsible for providing expertise and leadership to the QC Microbiology department.

The Role

In this QC Microbiology Manager role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be accountable for all QC Microbiology procedures and management and training of staff.
  • Provide specialist microbiological knowledge, expertise and troubleshooting skills.
  • Review the microbial control strategy and continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure effective environmental monitoring is conducted and trended data is reported.
  • Investigation of microbiological excursions within the manufacturing facility and reporting of trending analyses and advising on corrective and preventative actions.
  • Develop and validation of microbiological assay methods.
  • Supervise and develop policies, processes and procedures across the Quality Control Microbiology department.
  • Review of data generated from analysis of intermediate and final products.
  • Ensure Microbiological equipment is calibrated and maintained and identify deviations and faults in instrument performance.

Your Skills

As a QC Microbiology Manager you must bring the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar microbiology role within a GMP regulated environment and supervisory experience are essential.
  • A degree in a related discipline and expert knowledge of environmental monitoring of a sterile facility.
  • High attention to detail and a desire to drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player.
