Sensory ScientistLocation: Southampton, HampshirePay: up to £34,000 per annum (40 hours per week Monday to Friday)
SRG are recruiting for a Sensory Scientist to work with their expert sensory and R&D Innovation group based at our client site in Southampton.
The duties of this position will require / include:
- An understanding of sensory methods such as descriptive profiling, discrimination tests and consumer testing.
- Skills in executing sensory testing protocols, panel training (reference identification, gaining group consensus, developing thorough ballot) gained through education or on the job training.
- Excellent time management, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills to ensure orderly scheduling, preparation and flawless execution of all projects.
- Strong skills in data analysis and reporting of results, including MS Office, Sensory software (Compusense, Fizz), ability to handle, analyse and interpret data using statistical packages (XLSTAT, SPSS, Minitab) to perform descriptive statistics, ANOVA and multiple comparisons, PCA and discrimination testing analysis.* Ability to function independently as well as work within a team, demonstrating flexibility and ability to coordinate projects across various stakeholders
