EHS Specialist - Cambridge/ Norwich / Norfolk - Chemicals/ Pharma / FMCG

My client is a leading manufacturing organisation based outside Cambridge who due to an upturn in work due to demand for their products due to the ongoing COVID outbreak is looking to add an EHS specialist to their team for an initial 6 month period with a view to further extension. The right candidate will ideally be experienced in setting up and implementing EHS systems and processes within a manufacturing environment in either chemicals, pharma or FMCG industries. Responsibilities;

  • Set up and implementation of site wide policies and process regarding safe and efficient manufacturing in line with latest regulatory requirements and standards
  • Ensure site policy is being followed and enforced in line with latest guidelines
  • Set and develop standards for safe disposal of waste product and equipment
  • Ensure contractors and external personal are trained effectively and adhere to site policies
  • Participate actively and support audits and audit preparation
  • Develop and implantation of training for systems, processes and equipment
  • Contribute to site EHS strategy and planning
  • Adhoc projects and problem solving where required

Requirements;

  • Must have formal qualification in EHS such as degree NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Must be experienced in a manufacturing environment ideally within chemicals, pharma or FMCG
  • Experienced setting up processes from scratch and administrating existing processes
  • Experienced in training
  • Knowledge and experience of regulatory audits
