Senior Logistics Specialist - Permanent role with competitive salary - Global Organisation - Can be home based or office based in UK or Netherlands.

As a result of their continued success my client are looking to hire a Senior Logistics Specialist to undertake a challenging and varied role within their and be responsible for shipping and logistics operations.

The Role

This Senior Logistics Specialist position will give you the opportunity to:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to support business and develop the service.
  • Support the creation of marketing ideas and collateral.
  • Support customers with advice relating to logistics and shipping regulations and required documentation.
  • Support training and development of staff as required
  • Provide regular updates and reports based on metrics
  • Develop procedures for shipping and logistics ensuring compliance.
  • Assist with the update of all relevant permits and licenses and liaise regularly with relevant Regulatory Agencies.
  • Liaise with operational staff and external suppliers to ensure shipping and logistics are managed smoothly and in a cost effective manner.
  • Support with supplier audits.
  • Meet with suppliers to monitor performance and review KPIs.

Your SkillsAs a Senior Logistics Specialist our client is looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to at least degree level in a scientific or related discipline.
  • An MBA or supply chain management certificate would be a distinct advantage.
  • Training and experience in IATA and ADR.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar position within a regulated industry is essential, you must have a solid working knowledge of international logistics practices.
