My client are a leading Pharmaceutical organisation based in Hertfordshire, manufacturing a range of high-quality medicinal products, with a strong market presence. They are currently looking to hire a Supply Chain Assistant Planner, to start as soon as possible, who will support supply chain planning activities, focusing heavily on administrative responsibilities, liaising with stakeholders and organising supply chain meetings.

As an Assistant Planner, this position will provide you with the opportunity to learn and play a key part in the evolution of a pharmaceutical supply chain, whilst providing you with scope for progression and development within the organisation. This is also an excellent opportunity to join a successful, growing organisation with a strong portfolio of on market products, as well as a promising development pipeline.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Planner - Supply Chain will include;

  • Support the development of weekly and monthly manufacturing and inventory plans, in line with customer requirements, budget and strategy.
  • Assist the resolution of supply and demand imbalances, and longer-term planning solutions.
  • Organise and support the supply planning meetings.
  • Co-ordination of administrative tasks relating to supply planning, including updating organisation systems and Excel.
  • Participate in development of existing and new supply chain planning processes, systems and tools.
  • Promote continuous improvement through process development, data accuracy and product delivery.
  • Frequent interaction with internal teams and external customers to support supply and planning functions.
  • Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

To be considered for this Assistant Planner - Supply Chain vacancies, you will need the following skills and experience;

  • BSc/MSc in a relevant Scientific or Supply Chain subject (Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Logistics & Supply Chain, Business etc.) or equivalent relevant working experience.
  • Previous experience within supply chain.
  • Demonstratable experience in the use of Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Experience working to, or comprehensive theoretical knowledge of Quality Standards e.g. GMP, ISO, UKAS.
  • Excellent communication skills and a personable nature, to support relationship building with internal and external cross functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with a thorough approach.
