Oversee the tech transfer of finished product manufacturing processes to contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs).
Project Manager - Manufacturing / Technology Transfer
Based in Greater London / Surrey
Are you a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing expert?
Would you like to work as a Project Lead for a growing virtual Pharmaceutical Company?
SRG are exclusive partners with a successful Pharmaceutical company in the Greater London / Surrey area, with a track record of year on year growth. They have a strong portfolio of licensed and unlicensed medicines on market and are always looking to expand their scope.
Due to their continued expansion, they are looking to hire a Project Manager - Manufacturing / Technology Transfer to oversee the tech transfer of finished product manufacturing processes to contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs). Their product range includes both OTC (over the counter) and POM (prescription only medicine), and is a broad range of dosage forms, including solid oral tablets, liquids, rectals and powders.
The Project Manager - Manufacturing / Technology Transfer will report to the Head of Programme Management, and have between 0-3 reports in the form of junior project managers and project assistants, depending on the individual and project requirements.
The Project Manager - Manufacturing / Technology Transfer will act as a go-between for the manufacturing organisations and the internal CMC regulatory team, providing data and information to support the filing of regulatory dossiers for approvals, and ensuring the CMO is providing the required data and information to support the submissions. You will use your manufacturing expertise to ensure that gaps in the processes to be transferred are addressed and manufacturing processes are transferred in-line with time and cost objectives. This will involve review of technical dossiers and investigation.
The Project Manager - Manufacturing / Technology Transfer will help select the best and most appropriate CMOs, and will work to build strong working relationships with these suppliers. You will assist in the due diligence and supplier selection process, and their technical input will help steer decisions on CMOs best placed to fulfil manufacturing requirements.
There may be some travel required to contract manufacturing sites, which are located in the UK, mainland Europe and the US, however, this would only be a handful of times a year as most communication is done via video call, telephone calls and emails.
To be considered for the Project Manager - Manufacturing / Technology Transfer role, you will need the following skills and experience;
- Substantial experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, ideally across a range of different products and dosage forms.
- Knowledge and experience of Technology Transfers and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing processes.
- A solid understanding of GMP and other Quality & Regulatory requirements.
- A great problem solver, able to investigate issues & gaps in knowledge, and provide effective solutions.
- Pro-active, communicative and able to work with a range of stakeholders, at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Able to Manage projects to budget and time-lines.
In return my client is offering a very competitive salary, a social and collaborative working environment and the ability to work from home for a portion of the week, as appropriate.
