Up to £35k per annum, depending on skills, background and experience Our partner is an entrepreneurial organisation, based on the outskirts of Cambridge. They are hiring for a number of Molecular Scientists due to growth and confidence from investors in their product.You will contribute to developments in DNA synthesis, gene expression and mRNA synthesis, and bring sound previous work experience from within industry or academia. Role requirements:

* Planning and carrying out experiments, assessing and troubleshooting issues with equipment and workflows.

* Working collaboratively within a small team on projects around R&D - planning, executing and delivering on milestones agreed. Presenting findings and data back within the team.

* Attendance at meetings, events and development sessions to increase awareness of new techniques and ensure adherence to ISO and GMP accreditation.

* Establish and maintain an accurate and detailed QMS record and work to clear SOPs, always seeking to improve on processes and use your creative approach to improve delivery. Your background:

* MSc or equivalent in a biological field such as: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology - or similar/related Life Sciences qualification

* Up to date working knowledge with lab techniques such as: PCR, DNA quantification, gel electrophoresis, Gibson and Golden Gate DNA assembly

* Proven experience in performing cloning techniques such as transformations and plasmid purification

* Some appreciation or working knowledge of DNA sequence design and primer design is desirable

* Able to effectively troubleshoot new assays and methodologies

* Exemplary problem-solving skills, able to operate within a creative work frame whilst respecting the boundaries of SOPs and relevant quality management system
