Job title: Lab Technician

Contract: Permanent

Location: Newmarket, West Suffolk

SRG are working with a leading Pharmaceutical company that are currently looking for an Lab Technician to join their busy team based in Newmarket, West Suffolk.

Previous laboratory experience is not essential, but you will have a good level of computer literacy, attention to detail, and be motivated to develop a career within the industry

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • To work in a professional and safe manner
  • To ensure that the laboratory areas and work surfaces are free from clutter, and any spillages on the bench, floor and especially the instruments are immediately cleaned up.
  • To assist others in the performance of their duties if trained in that area of operation and if time allows.
  • To ensure that samples are returned to the appropriate storage area after testing
  • Maintenance of confidentiality
  • To comply with all the Health and Safety and ISO14001 requirements of your role, and perform any other reasonable duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • This role is open to school leavers and graduates.
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy for record keeping
  • Good computer literacy and ability to adopt and become familiar with corporate systems
  • Reasonable level of fitness to work with laboratory equipment and machines
