E&I Engineering Manager

Up to £65,000 plus benefits

I am working with a great global company who are looking to recruit the above role to work across their two manufacturing sites in and around the West Midlands

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for the management of the Electrical & Instrumentation departments
  • To maintain and promote a safe operating culture within the E & I departments ensuring that in all its aspects of installation and maintenance it operates to the highest levels of safety and meets all legal and statutory requirements, company rules and procedures.
  • Overall responsibility for the design, specification, and installation of all electrical and instrument equipment for new capital & maintenance work and controlling expenditure within authorised budgets.
  • Should have a good understanding of ATEX, area classification
  • Should have an excellent understanding of functional safety within a chemical process plant environment in order to act as a Competent Technical Authority with the HSE.
  • Outside contacts typically include suppliers, contractors and agencies such as the HSE & insurance inspectors.


  • A minimum of a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Instrumentation & Control.
  • A further 10 years practical experience post degree with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • The job requires a flexible attitude to deal with multiple complex jobs simultaneously to meet the required changes in operational priorities.
