SRG are currently looking to recruit a Technical Support Specialist to join a global agrochemical company based in Bracknell area.

Please note this role requires scientific background in agronomy, biology, chemistry or similar.

The role:

  • To provide scientific support to the Residue Science group.
  • Work alongside and support Technical Experts in the import and population of the global residue database with study information from the European programme of GLP residue studies.
  • Once training has been provided, to work with our external contract research organisations (CRO's) to ensure the database is accurately populated in a timely fashion after completion of the final reports
  • Provide support to Technical Experts in outsourcing activities - ordering of test and reference item for distribution to our CRO network to enable initiation of our study programmes.
  • With training, work alongside and support Technical Experts in the preparation of detailed written technical OECD summaries of study reports and data and evaluation of data packages to produce responses to techno-regulatory questions arising from European evaluations of active substance and product packages, and MRL reviews.
  • Support Technical experts with project scoping activities including data mining and report retrieval in order to compile summary information for submissions and rebuttals.

Key Accountabilities:

The primary accountability is to work alongside members of the Residue Science group in the population of the GLP Global Residue Database and non-GLP Residue Database (GOMIT and NORD) with data from the European programme of GLP residue trials and non-GLP residue from the EAME region.

Critical knowledge:

  • Numerate and literate, ability to learn quickly
  • Scientific Degree or higher education qualification

Critical experience:

  • Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task especially in periods of high workload
  • Computer literacy is essential

12 months contract (possibility of extension)/ 36h per week/ rate: £14.42 p/h
