SRG are a strategic recruitment partner to a British multinational company who are looking for a Sensory Panel Co-ordinator to join the team in Southampton.

The On-site Sensory Panel Co-ordinator will plan and enable all sensory activities required for the execution of Product Development and/or Innovations Projects across all categories (New Actives (multiple format/categories: e.g. Modern Oral/White (LYFT), multiple actives: caffeine, CBD, taurine...) to ensure sensory research delivers the insights into the business enabling product development actions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan, direct and co-ordiante sensory activities for Sensory Panels on site or at an end market level to ensure that project timings are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Panel Maintenance activities are executed where sensorial panels are in operation.
  • Develop a high level of expertise in all aspects of sensory evaluation in the New Categories.
  • Act as a key contact for sensory panels on site or at an end market level whilst ensuring that sensory best practises are integrated.
  • Issues recommendations to stakeholders based on aggregation and interpretation of sensory data and understanding of project objectives through close collaboration with Project Teams.
  • Responsible for the quality of the Sensory results and the implementation of Sensory "Best Practice" within all panels.
  • Drives the change management and understanding of sensory within his/her sphere of influence.
  • Strives to create a consumer-centric culture in line with the Global Sensory Ambition.


  • The job holder should be educated to degree level in a scientific background with experience in sensory product development or relevant knowledge within the food/flavour industry.
  • The job holder should have a good working knowledge of product development.
  • Basic technical knowledge of sensory methods and / or consumer research.
  • Basic understanding and interest of how consumers interact with products.
  • Experience or demonstratable ability to co-ordinate people in delivering projects or services.

Permanent position/ competitive salary/ Location: Southampton/ 37,5h per week
