Job Title: R&D Scientist
Vacancy type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (project estimated for 3-5 years)

We are currently looking for a R&D Scientist to join a global, innovative, medical device and product organisation. Joining a new project which is projected to last 3-5 years, the R&D Scientist will join a well-established team, where they will design, plan, and execute, physical testing for a variety of projects, spanning across different sectors within medical devices (including wound care), to support the ongoing development of current product lines and the innovation of new product lines.
This role does involve travelling 1-2 times/year to sites across the world.
The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, validate, plan, and execute a range of physical testing methods.
- Author a range of validation protocols, reports, and technical documentation for a range of medical devices/pharma products.
- Perform detailed laboratory investigations to determine root cause of atypical and OOS results, while being involved in change control activities.
- Prepare and present internal presentations to present the findings of the laboratory.
The successful Scientist will hold at least a BSc in a science-based subject, and have some experience working to GLP or GMP, and possibly ISO13485. They may have some method development and validation experience, and will have strong problem-solving skills, and be able to work well in a team.
