Senior Chemist - new job in Surrey, UK

Senior Flavours Chemist required on a permanent basis, based in Surrey. Requiring a degree in Chemistry or similar. Proven industrial experience of working in a laboratory is essential. Experience in flavour chemistry is advantageous.

Salary: £30,000- £40,000 (dependent on experience)

SRG are working with a leading manufacturer and supplier of food & drink technology. They are currently looking for a Senior Chemist to join their laboratory team on a permanent basis, at their site in Surrey. This role will predominantly involve the development of Quality Management System for the flavours team, involved heavily in improving flavourings using scientific literature searches and development of new products.

Role / Description

• Development of the Quality Management System for the Flavours team
• Formulation of flavour complexes
• Scientific literature searches to improve internal and external client projects
• Researching and developing new products

Requirements

• A degree in Chemistry (or similar)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a lab-based role
• Experience with flavour chemistry is advantageous
• Ability to efficiently plan, organise and manage own workload
