A long standing client of SRG's is looking for a Test Engineer to join their growing NPI team in Manchester. The company are moving into a larger facility and have taken on a number of larger, more high-profile projects recently, so are looking to bring in an experienced Test Engineer to help them demonstrate that designs meet the correct requirements and specifications. This will mainly include creating and executing mechanical design validation test methods, working within the NPI and EC processes. It will also include testing of new sub-components from external vendors, and packaging, eg shock and vibration testing, temperature cycling, drop test and lifetime testing.

Required Experience & Skills:

* Mechanical Engineering qualification/background required.

* Previous experience in a similar testing role in a high-tech environment.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* The knowledge to use the right tools to solve problems in statics, kinetics, reliability testing, root cause analysis and statistical analysis.

* Demonstrated ability to identify problems, define testing requirements, qualify measurement systems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
