E&I Technician - new job in Greater Manchester, UK

E/I Technician Greater Manchester £40,000 SRG are working with a global speciality chemicals manufacturer. They are looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join them on a permanent basis at their site in Greater Manchester. The main purpose of this role is to Provide maintenance support to production to maximise plant efficiencies & minimise downtime to ensure agreed production targets are met and undertake, drive and support maintenance and improvement activities and procedures in line with all HSE requirements.Working hours: 07:00 - 15:30 Monday to Friday. Requirements * HNC or NVQ Level III or equivalent in Mechanical and Electrical engineering disciplines * Substantial Engineering maintenance skills and experience in a manufacturing / processing environment, preferred* Ability To understand drawings; electrical loop drawings, cross section drawings, P&IDs etc* Broad experience on typical maintenance machine toolsPreferred and Beneficial * Chemical manufacturing experience* Knowledge of ATEX / DSEAR systems* FLT licence* MEWP* Vessel entryOn call for one week every 3 weeks. £296.15 per week for being on call and if you are call out a minimum of 3hours is paid at 1.5x or 2x depending on day ( 2x on Sunday and bank holidays )
