Workplace protection engineer required for a leading occupational and environmental health and hygiene consultancy.

SRG are working with a well-respected occupational and environmental health & hygiene consultancy who are searching for a Workplace Protection Engineer to deliver consultancy excellence for clients throughout the UK, as well as providing professional and technical support internally and externally.
The successful candidate will work within a team of engineers providing services such as Validation and verification of critical verification systems within healthcare environments, COSHH Exposure Monitoring and Assessments, Legionella Risk Assessments, Respirator Face Fit Testing, Measurement and quantification of airflows, Local Exhaust Ventilation Testing, noise assessments, vibration monitoring and air quality assessments.
This would be a brilliant opportunity for a technical engineer, or a Health & Safety specialist, who are looking to expand their skills into occupational hygiene & healthcare ventilation. Inhouse training will be provided. If not already qualified, you will be able to work towards attaining funded recognised industry qualifications.
The role will be home based with extensive travel across the UK particularly in the south of England including the greater London area, south coast and south of Birmingham. A Company car will be provided.
Candidates based south of Birmingham and surrounding areas would be at an advantage.
The role will be 37.5hrs per week, 5-7 days per week including weekend working.
- Carrying out site-based work
- Comparison and interpretation of the results against recognised standards (UKAS knowledge and experience would be an advantage)
- Preparing, writing and reviewing technical reports
- Costing work and preparing tenders
- Assisting with IOM Training Courses for clients
- Scheduling work and ensuring on-time service delivery
- Maintaining key account management
- Full clean driving licence
- Engineering or Health & Safety qualification preferred
- Ability to work with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Ability to work remotely on their own initiative
- Excellent verbal, numerical, written and problem-solving skills.
