Salary: £35,000-£40,000

SRG are working with a global manufacturer of polymers. They are currently looking for a Senior Microbiologist to join their Microbiology laboratory team on a permanent basis, at their site in Essex. This role will predominantly involve conducting the analysis of raw material, in both the manufacturing and final product, planning and executing project work to improve and optimise processes and ensuring health and safety standards are in line with company regulations.

Role / Description

• Ensuring there is no contamination issues which may comprise product quality
• Communicating with wider areas of the scientific team, providing technical support
• Liaising with customers to solve any queries
• Performing microbiological analysis throughout each stage of development

Requirements

• Master's in microbiology, PhD is desired
• Proven experience of working in a microbiology setting
• High attention to detail
• Ability to efficiently plan, organise and manage own workload
